Albert

Albert is only a few weeks old. He is a content baby who is beginning to show interest in patterns and noises around him, as well as the face of his current foster carer. He takes a bottle well and settles quickly after a feed.

While Albert’s mum was pregnant with him the decision was made that he would need an early permanence placement.

Albert’s birth mum has long-term struggles with her mental health and has experienced periods of homelessness. She has used drugs in the past although says she abstained from both drugs and alcohol once she realised she was pregnant. He wasn’t born showing any signs of withdrawal and he was born at 39 weeks after a relatively routine pregnancy.

Albert has two older siblings, both of whom have been adopted. It is highly likely that Albert will also be placed for adoption but, while the Court finalises its decision, we are looking for adopters who can act as his foster carers until this process is complete.

We are also looking for adopters who can help support Albert to have a relationship with his biological siblings, as well as his birth mum.

Age: 3 weeks
