Maeve

Maeve has a cheeky personality and is always making others laugh with her antics. She loves to wave at people when she’s out shopping and will say “hiya” to anyone who will listen. She’s recently learnt to blow raspberries which she does to make herself and others giggle.

Maeve’s birth mum is a young adult who is care experienced herself. Once Maeve was born, they spent time in a mother and baby unit together but Maeve’s mum struggled to bond with her and frequently did not meet Maeve’s basic needs. She disengaged with the support available and has not shared who the birth father is, but DNA testing shows Maeve has Polish along with White British ancestry. A plan of adoption was decided upon for Maeve’s future.

When Maeve was born she had a congenital heart condition and it is likely that she will need regular cardiology check-ups. She is meeting her milestones and is described as easy to care for, sleeping and eating well.

We need adopters who will support Maeve as she develops with any health concerns she may have, as well as being open to the possibility of building a relationship with her birth mum at some point in the future.
